Ngoc Linh special forest
Ngoc Linh is the name of a high mount in the Western Highlands (2.596 m high), located in Dak Glei district, next to Quang Nam province.
Ngoc Linh is famous all over the country for its precious ginseng: Ngoc Linh ginseng (ginseng of the fifth region.)
Ngoc Linh forest has an area of 28.868 hectares, 1000m above sea level and it belong to Dakto and Dakglei districts next to Quang Nam. The forest has a rare and precious types of animals and vegfetation.
For animals, there are tigers, deer, buffaloes,.....For vegetation, there is a lot of precious wood. Especially the vegetation there is vary suitable for an altitude of 1000m, it is cloudy all year round, the weather is mild.In this vegetation, there is Ngoc Linh ginseng which is famous not only in the country but also in the world .
Nowadays, the Pharmaceutical and Medical Instrumental Company (of Kontum Health Deparment) are organizing projects to study and grow this kind of precious ginseng in order to make, up medicine to serve people's health.
