You are here: Fareastour Attraction Ngoc Mountain

Ngoc Mountain

Mount Ngoc is located in Danh village, Ngoc Son commune, Kim Bang district, Ha Nam.

Mount Ngoc is approximate 100 m north of Ba Danh pagoda. To get to mount Ngoc is to travel back up Day river 7 km from Phu Ly town to Danh wharf and to walk about 100 m.

The hill locates next to Day river. Mount Ngoc  is one of the limestone hills spreading from Hoa Binh in the northwest-southeast direction to Tuong Linh, Kha Phong, Lien Son communes in Kim Bang district. However, mount Ngoc stands alone and is separated with other hills by Day river.

Ngoc mountain is not very high. Trees and shrubs grow densely because of high awareness of local people. There is an ancient fig tree which is said to be hundreds of years old. On the top of the mountain, tourists can have a feeling of separation from the modern noisy and crowded life and enjoying the pure silence of the nature, mountain, river and trees. At the foot of the mountain, there is an ancient temple worshipping a bachelor who was credited with services to local people.

Locating between Ba Danh pagoda and Ngoc mountain is a large farming field where annual crops are grown, mainly lychee and logan intercropping with corn and paddy rice. As being separated from residential area and favoured with nearby mountain, river, temple and pagoda, Ngoc mountain is an attractive beauty sight of Kim Bang.
