Vinh Phuc museum has got a display area of 2,500 meters. It is located in a region of 38,000 meters and belongs to the former Chanh su hill (Son Cao mountain) overlooking a corner Vac swamp to the southeast which currently belongs to Vinh Yen town, Ngo Quyen precinct.

The museum keeps more than 1,200 original exhibits and about 200 photographs of historical materials and fine arts. They are displayed in a way of modern method which gives brief outlines of the historical events in Vinh Phuc province from its antecedents until before 1930.
