The fish in this spring lives in harmony with local Muong minority who do not catch fish for food but worship them instead. The local residents living in Ngoc village bordering the spring still maintain their cultural traditions, customs and lifestyle which is typical of Muong minority's life, such as gong festivals, special dishes like bamboo-tube rice, ruou can (wine from a jar which is drunk through a bamboo trunk). Adjacent to Cam Luong spring is Cay Dang grotto which is of no less beauty than the famous Tu Thuc grotto of Nga Son district.

All these natural and cultural distinct features have made the area an attractive tourist destination, each year welcoming about 3,000 visitors.
